Abstract:
Steer-by-Wire (SbW) is considered as the most significant innovation among X-by-Wire technologies that will revolutionize the automotive industry. Among many problems that should be resolved before the commercialization of SbW systems, maintaining reliability and fault-tolerance in such systems are the most pressing issues. A review of key technologies developed for SbW systems including fault diagnosis approach and fault tolerant control system are presented.
