In this talk, I will first introduce the key missions and activities of FIZ Karlsruhe, including its contributions to open science and data services. The second part will explore current applications of artificial intelligence in research information systems and discuss the European dimension of these developments, particularly through the National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI) in Germany. These initiatives illustrate how FIZ Karlsruhe and its partners are building interconnected, AI-enabled data ecosystems across national and European contexts.
